Interbad International trade fair for swimming pools, pool and bath technology, saunas, physiotherapy and wellness, September 29th to October 2nd, 2004

Around 414 exhibitors from 24 countries presented their latest products and ideas to trade visitors. Around 20,250 visitors attended the 19th International Trade Fair for Swimming Pools, Pool and Bath Technology, Saunas and Wellness in Stuttgart, an increase of 30% compared with Interbad 2002 in Düsseldorf.

The path towards internationalisation was reflected in visitor numbers. The proportion of foreign visitors rose to just under 25%. The majority of foreign visitors came from Austria (15.4%), Switzerland (13.7%) and the Netherlands (6.2%). There was a marked rise in the number of visitors from Eastern Europe and Russia: 5% of visitors came from Hungary, 3.3% from the Ukraine, 2.7% from Poland and 2% from Russia.

As the most important event in Europe for this industry, Interbad has been held every two years since 1978 alternating between Stuttgart and Düsseldorf. However, it will gain an additional “offshoot” outside Germany in the intermediate years.
